Launched in October 1999, HomeAdvisor has helped more than 45 million homeowners complete their dream home projects. HomeAdvisor is an online platform that provides homeowners with the tools and resources necessary to find prescreened local service professionals that can help them complete their remodel, maintenance or improvement projects.

Before HomeAdvisor approves a business, they:

  • do a sex offender search
  • do a criminal records search
  • check the company’s licensing
  • do a legal search for civil judgements

This is how they make sure you only let the most trustworthy of businesses into your home. And we are proud to say that Mobility First passed their screening with flying colors.

NAHB Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)

The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation was designed to help companies acquire the necessary skills and tools in order to meet the needs of the senior population. From customer service skills to technical and business management skills, companies learn how to become fierce competitors in a market segment dedicated to helping people remain in the homes they love.

The NAHB strives to protect the American Dream of housing opportunities for all, while working to achieve professional success for its members who build communities, create jobs and strengthen our economy. A federation of more than 700 state and local associations, the NAHB represents more than 140,000 members.

As a member of the NAHB, Mobility First has access to:

  • educational opportunities provided by the NAHB, including the International Builders’ Show or IBS, the single most important event of the year for the home building industry and the world’s largest show of its kind for the residential and light commercial construction industry.
  • Home Innovation Research Labs, which develops, tests and evaluates new materials, methods, standards and equipment to improve the technology and the affordability of America’s housing.
  • HBI, our workforce development arm, which develops and administers a wide range of educational and job training programs.
  • The National Housing Endowment, an organization dedicated to helping the housing industry develop more effective approaches to home building, enhancing education and training for future generations of leaders in residential construction and increasing the body of knowledge on housing issues.

C.E.A.C. (Certified Environmental Access Consultant)

The C.E.A.C. certification was created to help professionals better determine the environmental access needs of the elderly and people with reduced mobility, while also encouraging this segment of the population to find the tools to regain their independence. The C.E.A.C. is focused on providing professionals with the means that allow them to improve their practice and training so they can more efficiently assess what type of work needs to be carried out in a specific space so it can be adapted to their customers’ needs to ensure they can stay in the home they love.

By gaining this certification, Mobility First have demonstrated their customer-focussed approach. They always put you first.

The GSA Schedule Contracts were created by the GSA (General Services Administration) in order to help federal buyers and contracting officers acquire commercial products and services without having to go through an extensive bureaucratic purchasing process. A GSA Schedule Contract is regarded as a credible channel through which federal buyers can buy products and services.

GSA Contract Holders have proved themselves to be reliable suppliers of their products, which means customers can trust them to provide the products they advertise.
